Where to stream Demon Slayer in France?

In short

As of 7 October 2026, Demon Slayer can be watched in France on Netflix, which offers the whole series shown as five seasons, and on Crunchyroll, which also streams the Mugen Train film. Prime Video and ADN offer part of it, directly or through their paid channels. All the seasons are available with a French dub and in the subtitled original. The first Infinity Castle film is not yet on any French platform: Crunchyroll announces it for 17 February 2027.

You want to start Demon Slayer tonight, or introduce someone to the series, and the first question arises: on which platform? Catalogues change from one year to the next, a season appears here, a film disappears there, and nothing is more frustrating than subscribing only to find that half the story is missing.

This guide goes platform by platform, with what each one offers as of 7 October 2026, the language, where the films fit, and the special case of Infinity Castle. The order in which to watch all of this is on our page Demon Slayer in what order, seasons and films.

Where to watch Demon Slayer in France today?

Four services offer all or part of the series in France. The table sums up what we noted; always check the catalogue before subscribing, because it can change without warning.

Platform What it offers as of 7 October 2026 Versions
Netflix the whole series, shown as five seasons French dub and subtitles
Crunchyroll the series and the Mugen Train film French dub and subtitles
Prime Video some of the seasons, directly or through the Crunchyroll channel depending on the season
ADN some of the seasons, directly or through its Prime Video channel depending on the season

To see the whole series without switching services, Netflix and Crunchyroll are the two safe choices. Both offer the French dub and the subtitled original, which leaves you the choice for each episode.

Before subscribing, count what you need: 63 episodes in four seasons, plus the Mugen Train film if you prefer its cinema version. Our article on how many seasons Demon Slayer has details what each one contains.

Netflix or Crunchyroll

These are the two services offering the whole series in France, with the French dub as well as in the subtitled original, as of 7 October 2026.

Crunchyroll, the anime fans’ platform

Crunchyroll is the service specialising in Japanese animation. It is also the one that distributes the Demon Slayer films in cinemas outside Japan, with Sony Pictures: the first Infinity Castle film was released in French cinemas under its banner on 17 September 2025.

The catalogue brings together the series and the Mugen Train film, in the subtitled original and with the French dub. For a fan who also wants to follow other Japanese series as they air, it is the most logical subscription.

It is also where new releases arrive fastest. When a season of Demon Slayer airs on Japanese television, Crunchyroll offers it at the same time in the subtitled version, the same day, then with the French dub a few weeks later. If the rest of the story ever comes out as a series, that is where you will see it first.

On 7 October 2026, Crunchyroll announced the arrival of the first Infinity Castle film in its French catalogue on 17 February 2027, with the French dub and in the subtitled original. If you are waiting for this film to watch it again at home, that is the date to note.

For these evenings in front of the screen, Tanjiro’s green checked wearable blanket wraps you from hood to knees; it is filed in the throws and wearable blankets collection, with the rest of the complete Tanjiro Kamado collection.

Netflix, the whole series in five seasons

Netflix offers the entire series in France, shown as five seasons because the Mugen Train arc forms a season of its own there. So do not be surprised to read “season 3” for the Entertainment District: it is season 2 in the Japanese numbering.

The series is rated 16+ there. If you share your account with children, a kids’ profile will hide it: remember to open it on yours if you decide to watch it together. Our article on the recommended age for Demon Slayer helps you decide.

For Infinity Castle, the situation is unclear. Netflix France had announced the first film for 28 September 2026, before withdrawing its post the next day. As of 7 October 2026, no date is set on Netflix in France.

Netflix’s strength lies in its place in households: many families already subscribe, and the series can be discovered there without paying for another service. It is often through Netflix that parents discover the series their children are asking for, one weekend evening, before getting attached to it themselves. The characters you will meet from the first season are all presented on our page listing all the Demon Slayer characters.

Netflix’s season 3

On Netflix, the Entertainment District carries the number 3, because the Mugen Train counts as a season there.

Prime Video and ADN, part of the catalogue

Prime Video and ADN, the French service specialising in Japanese animation, offer some of the seasons. Depending on the season, they are included in the subscription or go through a paid channel added to Prime Video, Crunchyroll’s or ADN’s.

This fragmentation makes these two services less practical for following the whole story in one go. They remain useful if you already subscribe and are only missing one season. Check on the series page which seasons are included before starting the first episode.

One tip applies to every service: streaming rights are renegotiated regularly. A season available one month can disappear the next, and a missing film can arrive without announcement.

The Prime Video and ADN catalogues offer Demon Slayer in pieces, and the rights change often.

Where to see the Mugen Train film and the compilations?

The Mugen Train film, released in Japan on 16 October 2020, is offered by Crunchyroll in France, with the French dub and in the subtitled original. On Netflix, it is the series version of the same arc that is online, in seven episodes: you miss nothing of the story, and you even gain the brand-new episode devoted to Rengoku.

The two compilation films, released in February 2023 and February 2024, mainly lived in cinemas. They take up end-of-season and start-of-season episodes already in the series: there is no need to look for them if you are following the seasons. Our article on the Demon Slayer compilation films details what they contain.

Rengoku’s case is worth a look. His fight against Akaza, on the morning of the Mugen Train, is the scene that turned Demon Slayer into a phenomenon, and our portrait of Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira tells why.

And Infinity Castle?

The first Infinity Castle film was released in French cinemas on 17 September 2025, and as of 7 October 2026 it is not yet offered by any French subscription service. This is not an oversight: it is the rule for cinema in France.

France’s release windowing rules, the chronologie des médias, set the delay between a film’s cinema release and its arrival on a subscription platform. For a service that has not signed an agreement with French cinema, this delay is 17 months: 17 September 2025 plus 17 months gives exactly the 17 February 2027 announced by Crunchyroll.

In the United States, the film has already been streaming since summer 2026, which explains the posts circulating on social media. In France, you have to wait, or relive the fights by reading the manga. Our article on what the first Infinity Castle film tells sums it up, and the one on the next Infinity Castle films follows the announcements.

This film’s opponents, Akaza, Doma and the other Moons, are presented on our page devoted to Muzan and the Twelve Kizuki, and the whole battle can be read on our page tracing all the Demon Slayer arcs.

17 months after the cinema

In France, a film arrives on a subscription platform 17 months after its cinema release, unless there is a special agreement.

On which screen to watch Demon Slayer?

Demon Slayer is one of the most polished series in Japanese animation, and its fights are best seen on a big screen. Rengoku’s flames, the waves of Water Breathing or Daki’s sashes above the rooftops of Yoshiwara lose a lot on a phone.

Ideally, start the series from the app on your smart TV or a console, in high definition. Netflix and Crunchyroll both offer their apps on most recent televisions.

The phone still has its role. Both services let you download episodes to watch offline, depending on your subscription plan: handy for a long train journey, irony included, before rewatching the Mugen Train.

For the darkest episodes, adjust the brightness. Much of the action takes place at night, and a screen that is too dark swallows the details of the backgrounds. Our page on all the Breathing styles of Demon Slayer presents the techniques that create these effects on screen.

French dub or subtitled original, by platform

Netflix and Crunchyroll offer both versions for the whole series. You can change language for each episode, in the playback menu, without starting again.

The French dub is complete and carefully made, with one change to note: Tanjiro’s voice changes from season 3. The original version lets you hear the Japanese actors, several of whom are among the best-known voices in animation. Our article on Demon Slayer, French dub or subtitled original compares the two, and those on the French voice actors and the series’ Japanese voice actors present the voices.

For the youngest, the French dub remains the most comfortable: no subtitles to read during the fights, and all the attention on the picture. Adults discovering the series often hesitate more: try the first episode in both languages, and keep the one that grips you most from the very first scene in the snow.

The pitfalls to avoid

The first pitfall is the unauthorised streaming site. The series is often incomplete there, badly subtitled, surrounded by dubious ads, and you never know what the page installs on your device. The actors, the studio and the author get nothing from it.

The second is to confuse the Mugen Train film and series. They tell the same story: the series adds a brand-new episode about Rengoku, the film does not have it. Choose one or the other depending on what your platform offers. Our article on the Mugen Train, as a film or a series details the differences.

The third is to think a season is missing because the numbering differs from one service to another. Go by the names of the arcs: from the Final Selection to the Hashira Training, nothing is missing if you have the 63 episodes.

The fourth is to use a virtual private network to watch Infinity Castle on a foreign catalogue. The platforms’ terms of use forbid it, and the quality rarely follows. 17 February 2027 is not far off now.

For an evening for two, the throw with Nezuko’s and Tanjiro’s faces comes in three sizes, up to 150 × 180 cm, in the same throws collection, and the products in the heroine’s colours in the complete Nezuko Kamado collection.
