The cord braids vibrant pink, white, and black in a tight spiral. Below the knot, the fringes feature the three colors with the addition of a soft green. An enamel plate hangs on one side, a domed round glass medallion on the other. These are the colors of Kanao's cape and ribbon.

Below the knot, the threads continue as free, neatly cut fringes, about the length of a finger. A rectangular enamel plate hangs on one side of the knot, a charm on the other. The braiding remains round and firm under the fingers and does not flatten. Nothing protrudes on the inside: it is the smooth side of the cord that touches the skin.
