Discover this Tomioka Demon Slayer Wearable Blanket - two-tone Hashira Haori, designed for the sofa, naps, and winter evenings. This cape features a lined hood, an open-front cut, printed flannel fleece on the outside, a white lining on the inside, two different pattern halves, and one-size-fits-all for adults.

The cape is split in two vertically: plain burgundy on one side, a yellow and green geometric pattern on the other, with a burgundy hood. It is an exact replica of the haori worn by the character, mismatched in the same way.

A haori made of two garments

This mismatch has a specific meaning in the story. The plain half comes from the haori of Sabito, Giyu's childhood friend, who died during the Final Selection while almost single-handedly eliminating the demon inside. The other, patterned half comes from his sister Tsutako, who was killed the day before her wedding while hiding him from a demon. Sabito was the same age as him and far surpassed him in swordsmanship.

Giyu therefore carries his two lost loved ones on his back, and this explains his character: he judges himself unworthy of being a Hashira, he refuses to eat with others, and he never defends himself when accused. He is also the one who spared Nezuko's life, standing alone against the entire Corps' regulations, a decision that sets off Tanjiro's entire story. He also carries half the blame for that decision, since he committed the entire Corps by staking his own life on the demon girl's safety.

Lined flannel, one size

The flannel fleece is printed on the outside and lined with fleece on the inside, resulting in a piece that keeps you warm without weighing down your shoulders. The hood is built into the cape, not attached, and retains its shape when pulled up. The edges are topstitched all the way around, including at the tips, which are the areas subject to the most wear.

The cut is open at the front, with no fasteners or buttons: the cape stays on while you're on the sofa, is easy to take off in one move, and folds flat. The seam between the two patterns falls in the middle of the back, just like the original garment. It comes in one size: the cape measures 150 by 100 centimeters. For this Demon Slayer cape, wash at 30 degrees Celsius inside out, without fabric softener which would reduce the softness of the flannel, and air dry rather than using a tumble dryer, which would cause the printed surface to pill.
