Discover this Inosuke Demon Slayer plush hood - Ear flaps, designed for winter and conventions. This hood includes gray faux fur, a raised pink snout, two tusks, blue eyes circled in brown, two ears with pink pom-poms, and two long flaps covering the ears.
This is the long version of Inosuke's mask. It features the same three-dimensional boar head as the short beanie in the department, but extended with two panels of fur that hang down the cheeks to the base of the neck, like a chapka.
The mask he never removes
Inosuke grew up in the mountains, raised by a sounder of boars after being abandoned as a child. The mask comes from that life, and he wears it in all circumstances, even to sleep and eat. His companions spend dozens of chapters before catching a glimpse of his face.
The flaps change the relationship to the object. A beanie sits on the skull, while a hooded hat with panels frames the face, which brings the item closer to the original mask: the wearer looks through the opening instead of wearing the boar on top of their head. It is the model in the department that goes furthest in recreating the character. Inosuke developed his own masterless fighting technique by observing the beasts of the mountain and named it Beast Breathing. The mask is therefore not a costume; it is what remains of his upbringing.
"He was raised by boars and never gave the head back. No one on the mountain explained to him that you could take it off."
Faux fur, sewn volumes
The snout, tusks, and ears are separate pieces that are sewn on rather than printed patterns. The muzzle therefore sticks out forward instead of flattening against the forehead, which is the whole difference between a 3D object and a printed beanie. The ear pom-poms match the pink of the tufts on the original mask.
The two panels hang low enough to cross under the chin and completely cover the ears, the part of the body that loses the most heat after the head. On this Demon Slayer hood, the faux fur requires hand washing in cold water with no wringing: if machine-washed, it will felt and lose its fluffiness, and the snout and pom-poms are the first things to get crushed: which are the only pieces that make the character recognizable.
