Discover this Akaza Demon Slayer Hoodie - Name in letters, four designs, designed for the mid-season. This sweatshirt includes a hood, a large graphic on the back topped with the name in Latin letters, the 滅 kanji on the pocket, blue patterns along the sleeves, four designs to choose from, and seven sizes from S to 4XL.

The back features a close-up of Akaza with AKAZA written above in large blue letters outlined in white. It is the only sweatshirt in the collection dedicated to this character that features his name in the Latin alphabet rather than in kanji.

A name he did not choose

Akaza is not his name. His name was Hakuji, and it was Muzan who renamed him when he transformed him, just as he renames all high-ranking demons. Receiving a new name is part of the transformation, just like the loss of memory: the demon retains nothing of the man, not even what he was called. The Upper Moons also have their rank engraved in their eyes, and Akaza has carried the number three for decades without anyone taking it from him.

This is what makes his final scene unbearable. As he dies, Akaza suddenly remembers everything he had forgotten, his father, the dojo, Koyuki, and he understands what he has become. He then chooses to destroy himself rather than regenerate, the only demon in the series to decide his own end. Tanjiro, who has just defeated him, witnesses the entire scene and weeps, which remains the most defining gesture of this character.

"He regains his memory at the moment of death and decides not to regenerate. No other demon has made this choice."

Four designs, seven sizes

The four variations feature the same layout on different backgrounds, primarily cream and black. The blue of the letters and the character's markings stand out on both, with more contrast on the cream. The letters are nearly twenty centimeters high.

The 滅 kanji placed on the pocket is the only visible element from the front, keeping the garment discreet in front and very legible from the back. The patterns along the sleeves are printed vertically and remain legible with arms down. Seven sizes cover S to 4XL. On this Demon Slayer hoodie, the large print on the back requires washing inside out at thirty degrees and air drying, as the tumble dryer wears down the outlined letters before anything else. The only demon to have chosen his own end.
