Discover this 30 cm Demon Slayer Giyu Tomioka Statue - Two-tone Haori, a PVC figure approximately 30 cm tall, featuring a half-solid half-checkered haori and drawn blade.

The haori is split vertically down the middle: one side is solid black, the other features a large burgundy, mustard, and green checkered pattern. It is worn open over the dark uniform, which is unbuttoned at the top of the chest, revealing the white belt and buckle. His black hair is tied low and falls over his shoulder. His blade is drawn, held at arm's length pointing toward the ground, and one of his ankles is wrapped in white bandages.

Giyu doubts his place among the Hashira

Giyu Tomioka is the Water Hashira, but he does not always see himself as the equal of the other Hashira. In Demon Slayer, his quiet personality is accompanied by a deep sense of unworthiness linked to his past and Sabito. This distance explains part of his closed-off behavior: he speaks little, easily isolates himself, and yet wears half of his former companion's haori.

The figure highlights his two-tone haori, one of his most personal symbols. One half comes from his sister Tsutako, the other from Sabito. The garment speaks to how Giyu perceives himself: behind the rank of Hashira stands someone who carries the memory of lost loved ones and doubts his own legitimacy.

The body is made of molded PVC, mounted on a base that is part of the piece. No articulation, no removable parts, no adjustments: the pose is definitive, which avoids the sagging often experienced by articulated figures left in the same position for months. The Demon Slayer character should be held firmly by the torso, never by an arm or a weapon. The hexagonal base, when present, features the character's name engraved on a black plate, and the surface is calligraphed.

For cleaning, a clean watercolor brush works better than any cloth. Two dabs of adhesive putty under the base are enough to secure the piece on a shelf accessible to children or cats. And for photography, soft side lighting reveals the sculpting that ceiling lighting flattens. Do not use household products on painted surfaces: they can erode the layers of color within a few passes. A haori split vertically down the middle.
