Discover this Demon Slayer LEGO katana - 57 cm, black blade, light handle, designed for building and the shelf. This Demon Slayer LEGO set includes 429 tiny ABS pieces, a length of 57 centimetres by 6 wide and 6 thick once built, an illustrated step-by-step booklet, a black blade and a light handle and a piece built in one go, with no glue or tools.

When assembled, the katana measures 57 centimeters in length, with a width and thickness of 6 centimeters. The blade is black, appearing almost purple under the light, with a light-colored edge marked by a stepped pattern along its entire length. The handle is off-white, adorned with small black diamonds, and the guard is a vibrant orange.

The color that no one can read

In the story, a Demon Slayer's blade changes color upon its first contact with its wielder, and this color heralds the breathing style they will practice. Blue for Water, yellow for Thunder, green for Wind, pink for Love. Tanjiro's blade turns black, and no one in the Corps knows what that signifies. Trainers observe the color as it appears before deciding which style to teach.

What the elders say about it is quite discouraging: the rare wielders of a black blade never rise in rank and die young, to the point where the color is regarded as a curse. The truth emerges much later: black corresponds to Sun Breathing, the original style, and those who wielded it died young because they were facing what no one else could face. Tanjiro learns this from an elder who had seen the same thing decades earlier.

Assembly with no glue, piece by piece

The pieces of this LEGO model are tiny, a few millimeters in size, which allows for a curved blade and a fine stepped handle pattern rather than blocky shapes. Assembly requires patience and a clear workspace. The tradeoff for this detail is the number of pieces: a blade of this length requires several hundred, many of which are identical and installed in repetitive series.

The result is a display piece, not a toy for combat: the elements hold together by interlocking, and an assembled piece should be handled with both hands, held flat. Allow for several hours of assembly and a workspace where loose pieces won't roll away. The manual follows the order of the numbered bags, and it is better to open them one by one rather than dumping everything out at once. A dry cloth is enough to dust the finished piece, as water can seep between the elements. The piece can be taken apart and rebuilt as many times as desired, which distinguishes it from a molded replica, and a damaged element can be replaced without taking the rest apart. A color mistaken for a curse.
