Discover this Demon Slayer LEGO katana to build - Red-edged blade, designed for building and the shelf. This Demon Slayer LEGO set includes 498 tiny ABS pieces, a length of 57 centimetres by 6 wide and 6 thick once built, an illustrated step-by-step booklet, a red-edged blade and a piece built in one go, with no glue or tools.

Once assembled, the katana measures 57 centimeters long, 6 wide, and 6 thick. The blade is dark, lined along its entire length with a bright red border that runs from the hilt to the tip. The handle is midnight blue with white accents, and the handguard is orange.

What happens when a blade turns red

In this story, the red color on a blade is not just decorative. When a Slayer pushes their body to the limit, their blade heats up and turns scarlet, and this phenomenon changes everything: the wound it leaves prevents a demon from regenerating, which the same blade would not do when cold. The phenomenon first appears among the Hashira, then among younger Slayers under pressure.

This is what makes the scarlet blade decisive against higher-ranking demons, who would normally regrow a limb in seconds. The Hashira achieve this by pushing their breathing or by gripping the handle until their hands nearly break, and the Slayer mark, the design that appears on their skin, often goes hand in hand with this transition to red. Several battles at the end of the series are only turned around thanks to this turn to red.

Assembly with no glue, piece by piece

The pieces of this LEGO model are tiny, a few millimeters in size, which allows for a curved blade and a fine stepped handle pattern rather than blocky shapes. Assembly requires patience and a clear workspace. The manual follows the order of the numbered bags, and it is better to open them one by one rather than dumping everything out at once. A dry cloth is enough to dust the finished piece, as water can seep between the elements. The piece can be taken apart and rebuilt as many times as desired, which distinguishes it from a molded replica, and a damaged element can be replaced without taking the rest apart. Red makes the difference between wounding and stopping.
