Discover this Demon Slayer LEGO katana - 57 cm, red handle, purple blade, designed for building and the shelf. This Demon Slayer LEGO set includes 493 tiny ABS pieces, a length of 57 centimetres by 6 wide and 6 thick once built, an illustrated step-by-step booklet, a purple blade and a red handle and a piece built in one go, with no glue or tools.

When assembled, the katana reaches 57 centimeters in length, with a width and thickness of 6 centimeters. The blade is a dark purple, edged with a white stair-step pattern that marks its edge. The handle contrasts completely: bright red, covered in small black patterns, and finished with an orange guard.

A blade tinted by its wielder

The color purple is not just an aesthetic choice: in the story, it is the color a blade takes when wielded by a practitioner of the Insect Breathing style. Each Nichirin sword takes on color upon first contact with its user's hand, and the shade hints at the style they will develop. In fact, no two wielders of the same breathing style get the exact same shade.

The most famous of these purple blades belongs to Shinobu Kocho, and it is unlike any other: too light to decapitate, it ends in a hollow tip that injects distilled wisteria. Its owner had the weapon modified because she lacked the physical strength of the other Hashira, and she saturated her own body with the same poison to serve as bait. The poison takes several seconds to act, which forces her to dodge while waiting.

Assembly with no glue, piece by piece

The pieces of this LEGO model are tiny, a few millimeters in size, which allows for a curved blade and a fine stepped handle pattern rather than blocky shapes. Assembly requires patience and a clear workspace. The tradeoff for this detail is the number of pieces: a blade of this length requires several hundred, many of which are identical and installed in repetitive series.

The result is a display piece, not a toy for combat: the elements hold together by interlocking, and an assembled piece should be handled with both hands, held flat. Allow for several hours of assembly and a workspace where loose pieces won't roll away. The manual follows the order of the numbered bags, and it is better to open them one by one rather than dumping everything out at once. A dry cloth is enough to dust the finished piece, as water can seep between the elements. The piece can be taken apart and rebuilt as many times as desired, which distinguishes it from a molded replica, and a damaged element can be replaced without taking the rest apart.
