Tanjiro's earrings come from his father

Tanjiro Kamado wears card-shaped earrings inherited from his father, Tanjuro. These earrings also recall those of Yoriichi and immediately catch Muzan's attention when he sees them. In Demon Slayer, they thus link Tanjiro to his family history and a past much older than himself, while remaining visible alongside his checkered haori.
