Discover this Demon Slayer Shinobu Katana Umbrella - Folding, floral guard, a folding umbrella with eight ribs, featuring a print of Shinobu among butterflies and a sword-style handle.

Shinobu occupies the top of the canopy, surrounded by butterflies on a light background that replicates her white, green, and pink haori wings. Seen from above, she appears full-length, with her black hair pulled up and her butterfly ornament clearly visible. A black border dotted with white spots runs around the edge of the umbrella, just like the hem of her garment.

An evening bun

In Demon Slayer, Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira, always wears her hair up, held in place at the back of her head by a butterfly-shaped ornament. The bonus pages of the manga specify the hairstyle: a very tight bun. If undone, her hair would reach approximately to her collarbones.

A neat and tidy hairstyle, which suits Shinobu well: always polite, always smiling, with nothing out of place, not even the anger she harbors for demons. Her older sister Kanae, a former Hashira, was killed by Doma. Too frail to decapitate a demon, Shinobu developed a poison derived from wisteria, which she injects with a needle-thin blade, and she cares for the wounded of the Corps at the Butterfly Mansion, where Kanao, whom she took in with her sister, trains by her side. For months, she has been absorbing this poison herself, so that the demon who eventually devours her will die from it.

The canopy, stretched over eight ribs, bears the illustration on the top, while the underside remains black. The handle is far from ordinary: it is a sword hilt, complete with guard, wrapping, and pommel, held in the hand just as one would hold the blade. Seen from above, the design reads as a continuous whole, panel after panel, all the way to the tips of the ribs. On Shinobu's sword, the dark cord opens onto orange diamonds beneath an orange, four-petaled flower-shaped guard.

When folded, it fits into its printed cover, which leaves only the guard and handle exposed, like a blade in its scabbard. Compact enough for a school bag or gym bag. You can take it out at the first sign of clouds and tuck it away as soon as the sky clears. The butterflies and the soft green of the canopy stand out beautifully in gray weather. Butterfly wings above your head, and a bun that never budges.
